  • Old Senate Room University of Aberdeen (map)

University of Aberdeen Debater welcomes you to this week's debate in collaboration with the Economics & Business and Politics & IR societies.

The motion reads: 'This House Prefers Corporate Social Responsibility to Government Regulation'.

The debate will be preceded with an introductory talk by Dr Allan Sim from the Business School and a wine reception with nibbles provided by the Aberdeen University Wine Society.

The debate will be split into two parts. The first part will be the table debate with four speakers in favour of the motion and four against. The speeches will be five minutes in length. There will be two representatives from each society taking part and further two from KMPG.

The second part of the debate will be open to the floor where members of the audience will have the opportunity to make a contribution. These speeches will be up to three minutes in length.

We will soon be making a further announcement on the social which will follow the debate so stay tuned.
